Male!Reader x Ciel ~ Dancing

You walked over to the young Phantomhive earl and extended your hand, “Master, would you like this dance?” Ciel looked up at you with his sapphire eye, and took your hand, putting down the plate he had been eating cake off of. You walked onto the dance floor and placed a hand on the earl's shoulder, feeling him take you by the waist and taking his other hand in your own. You were about the same height.

As the music began, he started off a bit uncertainly, but you guided him slightly, and soon he took complete lead of the dance.

“My lord, your house is beautiful,” you commented. He looked at you, “Thank you. It is the exact likeness of the original Phantomhive manor.”

“It is very perfectly reproduced,” you let the young lord twirl you around.

“Yes it is,” the conversation turned silent for quite a bit. Ciel looked past you for a moment, before looking at you. Your eyes locked, and you smiled at him. You were unsure if you should say it, but this was one of the only times you could talk to the earl Phantomhive alone so you did anyway.

“I'm sorry about your parents,” Ciel's visible eye widened, and his dance step faltered. You guided him into place.

“Think of it this way though, they loved you. It's better for them to die loving you, than you to live with parents who hated you, like I did,” you smiled at him. Ciel's grip on your hand tightened.

“Your life was so horrid, and you stay so positive,” he muttered in a shaking tone. You grinned, “I just try to look forward instead of backwards.” Ciel pushed you closer to him.

The song ended, and the earl stood there on the floor for a moment, before taking your hand and leading you to your place.

“Thank you for the dance Master Pha-”

“Call me Ciel,” he said, “The pleasure was mine.” he left and returned to his betrothed's side, flashing a glance at you. You smiled and turned to your drink.
